Thought for the Week June 26, 2016

The message today deal’s with “Israel’s Defeat at Ai” all because one man yielded to temptation at Jericho.

There once was a man who used to put a bit of meat on the floor near his dog and say, “NO ”. . . and the dog knew he must not touch it. But he never looked at the meat.  He seemed to know that if he did so, the temptation to disobey would be too great.  Therefore, he looked steadily into the face of his master instead of looking at the meat.  There is a lesson for us all.  Keep your eyes upon the Master . . . especially when tempted by sin.
