July 17, 2016 Thought for the Week

Shortly before his death, Charles Darwin, with whom began the theory of organic evolution, said, “I was a young man with unformed ideas. I threw out queries and suggestions.  To my astonishment, they took like wildfire! People made a religion out of them.”  Later, shortly before his death, he suggested to a Christian friend that she speak to the servants, tenants and neighbors.  “What shall I speak about?”  she inquired.  “Christ Jesus,” replied Darwin.

This was Darwin’s “final appeal” to this Christian friend.  In our message today, we will read about “Joshua’s Final Appeal to Israel”.
